NOR CAL CANS is dedicated to becoming the leading provider of professional and environmentally friendly trash can cleaning services in Sonoma County and Marin County. Our mission is to offer residential homes and commercial businesses a convenient solution to the problem of dirty and unsanitary trash cans by utilizing state-of-the-art equipment.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This Agreement, which governs the terms and conditions of the use of  NOR CAL CANS, LLC, is between you (“Customer”) as an authorized user of such services, and NOR CAL CANS, LLC
This Agreement, together with any operating rules, policies, price schedules, or other supplemental documents expressly incorporated herein by reference and published from time to time by NOR CAL CANS, LLC (collectively, the “Agreement”), constitutes the entire agreement between NOR CAL CANS, LLC and you regarding the bin/can Cleaning Service. By using the service, you confirm your acceptance of and agree to be bound by this Agreement. Trash bins / cans refers to any trash can, recycle can or compost can.

Service

NOR CAL CANS, LLC offers a comprehensive trash can cleaning and power washing services to residential and commercial customers in Sonoma County and Marin County, California. Using a custom-built truck equipped with advanced technology. We clean, sanitize, disinfect, and deodorize trash, recycle, and compost cans, ensuring a clean and healthy environment. Additionally, we provide power washing services to rejuvenate various surfaces. With a focus on exceptional service quality and environmental responsibility, NOR CAL CANS, LLC aims to be the leading provider in the region, delivering professional solutions to the common problem of dirty and unsanitary trash cans while promoting cleanliness and hygiene.

Customer Responsibilities

For NOR CAL CANS, LLC to provide its services, the Customer is to abide by the following conditions, or service may be suspended

Customers will enroll in one of our four service options – monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, or one-time.  A minimum of four (4) consecutive reoccurring services ( monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly ) are contracted for and will be charged for after each cleaning service visit. If the customer opts to cancel service early, a $40 cancellation fee will be charged

Trash bins/cans must be readily available for service.  Bins/cans are to be located at the curb (unless special arrangements have been made – NOR CAL CANS, LLC needs to be notified of these arrangements in advance). Bins/cans will be remained at the end of driveway after they have been cleaned with a NOR CAL CANS, LLC tag on them so know we were there. (Unless special arrangements have been made.)

Customer is to provide a gate access code to gated community / HOA and if necessary, provide the security gate personnel with permission for Nor Cal Cans to provide services

If the Customer will not be available for a scheduled cleaning it is his/her responsibility to contact NOR CAL CANS, LLC and notify them of the absence by 8:00 PM the night before service.

All trash bins/cans are to be emptied by trash hauling company before services are provided. Sometimes small amount of remaining trash, recycling or compost material may not be completely emptied by trash hauler, Nor Cal Cans service technician at his / her discretion will remove and bag up remaining material. It is Nor Cal Cans goal to provide the best service to our customers.

All trash bins/cans must be free of un-bagged animal waste and fecal material.

All trash bins/cans must be free of dead animals, reptiles, rodents etc.

All trash bins/ cans must be free from any drugs, drug paraphernalia, needles etc.

All trash bins/ cans must be free from any medical waste

All trash bins/cans must be free of chemicals, paint, glue, gum or other adhesive etc, hazardous waste, explosives or dangerous objects of any kind.

All trash bins/cans must be free of building materials, e.g., plaster, stucco, or concrete.

All trash bins/cans must not be extensively damaged / cracked / broken wheels / lids etc. If the trash bins / cans are noted prior to service to be damaged and/or in poor condition, the service technician may decline the cleaning of that bin / can. Damaged bins / cans can cause damage to our cleaning equipment. The customer will be notified.

All waste products, such as leaves, branches, food scraps, etc are to be emptied by trash hauler prior to service

NOR CAL CANS, LLC is a bin/can sanitation company, not a bin/can detailing service, not a trash waste hauler. Trash, recycle, compost cans may have become stained / discolored from various waste, paint, oil, grease, etc. – NOR CAL CANS, LLC is NOT responsible for the condition of these bins/cans after cleaning.

If NOR CAL CANS, LLC arrives to perform service(s) and the above conditions are not met, the service will not be completed at the technician determination. The Customer IS still responsible for payment. Should the truck and crew arrive at a location without being notified that the bins/cans are not ready, there will be a service fee for the stop. This service fee covers the cost of fuel, labor, and truck maintenance.

A reschedule of services will no longer be permitted.  The customer may request another cleaning, but this will be billed as a ‘special cleaning’ visit.

All our neighborhoods are scheduled for service either monthly or quarterly. We are in each neighborhood no more frequently than once per month for logistical and scheduling purposes. We do not visit any neighborhood on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. (Special Arrangements may be considered)

III.  NOR CAL CANS, LLC Responsibilities

If NOR CAL CANS, LLC fails to provide its service(s) on the scheduled day of service, NOR CAL CANS, LLC will compensate the Customer by arranging for the service to be performed on the next possible neighborhood visit.  If a reschedule is not practical or possible the Customer will receive a credit for the missed service.  In the case of inclement weather that prohibits NOR CAL CANS, LLC from operating, a notice will be sent to the customer.  A reschedule date will be made.

Safety for our employees is our number one priority. Operating the truck in various conditions, geographical areas and busy roadways can be extremely dangerous. If the service technician feels the curbside cleaning location is unsafe due to various conditions and /or busy roadways. The service technician will relocate to the closest safe location to perform the cleaning service. If the service technician feels it’s an unsafe working environment may choose at their discretion to cancel and/or reschedule the cleaning visit.

Modifications to Customer Agreement

NOR CAL CANS, LLC may amend this Agreement at any time by (a) posting a revised Customer Agreement at https://www.norcalcans.com/, and/or (b) mailing or sending information regarding the amendment to the email address you provided to NOR CAL CANS, LLC. We will welcome all inquiries, questions, and comments regarding any changes made to the agreement from our clients. Our goal is to always serve our customers to the best of our ability and any changes to the agreement would be solely made for the betterment of the service program.

 

Modifications to Service

NOR CAL CANS, LLC reserves the right to modify our delivery of service for the betterment of our customers and the overall success of the service program.

Charges

The Customer agrees to pay all charges for the utilization of the service(s) for the selected package. All charges will be exclusive of value-added sales. NOR CAL CANS, LLC reserves the right to change prices or institute new charges for access to or use of the service. Any changes in pricing will be communicated to the Customer by mail OR email. It is the Customer’s option to continue the service or to discontinue the service at that time. Continued use of the services or non-termination of the Customer’s NOR CAL CANS, LLC account after any such changes are communicated to the Customer by mail OR email correspondence constitutes your acceptance of the charges as modified by the posted changes.

Payments are automatic. Payment to NOR CAL CANS, LLC is automatically charged to the Customer’s debit card, credit card, checking account. Should the payment not be received as scheduled, the Customer agrees to pay all amounts due upon demand by NOR CAL CANS, LLC. Commercial Accounts may be eligible to set up NET 15 / NET 30 payment terms.

A $15 late fee will apply if payment is later than 7 days past due. Our sole source of income is through our service fees, and we cannot operate without them. Also, a credit hold will be placed on your account until your billing is current. As a small family-owned business, we cannot afford to continue to provide service if past due service bills are not paid.

After 14 days of past due non-payment, an account will be deemed as delinquent. Delinquent accounts will be suspended, and no further cleanings routed until the account has been brought back into good standing.  Once an account has been classified as delinquent, a credit/debit card MUST be put on file to continue service.

A service fee of ($20 per stop) will be imposed if the bins/cans are not ready for service, and we are not notified. An email and a text reminder are sent before each service. A response to either one of these reminders is necessary when the bins/cans are not ready for service. We must be notified if the bins/cans are not ready for service as our costs of operations are paid only through service fees, and we cannot operate without them.

Referrals: Should a subscription customer offer us a referral to a new customer (customer defined as not having service from NOR CAL CANS, LLC before) who registers for a subscription service (one-time services do not apply), NOR CAL CANS, LLC will provide one (1) free cleaning service (2 Bins/Cans) to the regular customer as a gesture of appreciation.

VII.  Default Payments

NOR CAL CANS, LLC reserves the right to suspend or terminate Customer’s service without notice upon rejection of any credit or debit card charges or if the Customer’s card issuer (or its agent or affiliate) seeks return of payments previously made to NOR CAL CANS, LLC when NOR CAL CANS, LLC believes Customer is liable for the charges. Such rights are in addition to and not in lieu of any other legal rights or remedies available to NOR CAL CANS, LLC.  Termination of service is the very last step of non-payment and will try to be avoided if possible.

VIII. Continuity of Service

The credit or debit card used to establish Customer’s account will be automatically processed, in accordance with Customer’s payment choice, the month prior to Customer’s last paid service. NOR CAL CANS, LLC will notify the Customer of any rate changes. Customer must notify NOR CAL CANS, LLC before any changes to the Customer’s credit or debit card or if the Customer decides not to continue with the service.

Credit card payment information can be updated via the Client Portal or by contacting Nor Cal Cans.

Cancellation of Service
Once a customer has received and paid for four cleanings using a subscription service, a service plan may be canceled with 30-day notice with no further obligation.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of California. Customer irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in each state or location.
